In case you don’t know, Harmedia is located in the Thames Valley, which is West of London, bordered by the M40 motorway to the North, and the M3 to the South, roughly the shape of a slice of pizza, with the thin bit pointing at London. The central County is Berkshire, with Buckinghamshire and Surrey getting a look in as well. From time to time we’ll post up ‘News from the Shire’, with updates on cool cars ‘n’ stuff going on, on our home patch.
We’ll kick off Numero Uno with a look at a killer ’36 Ford 3-Window Coupe, that is rapidly coming together in Chris Smith’s garage. Chris found the car on Ebay and imported it himself, nervously relying on info from the somewhat aged previous owner. All turned out well though, and having already been a project car, all the bodywork and floors had been attended to, and what arrived from Las Vegas, was a very straight and solid car, complete with a fully rebuilt 59a Flathead. Chris was always going to keep this as a traditional build, and has since detailed the chassis and motor to the max, with too much good stuff to list here.
The ’36 also features a wicked chop, performed at home by Chris and Paul Hobby, with a lot of planning before any metal was cut. As you can see gfrom the pic’s, the car is now in paint and undergoing final body fit and assembly. Chris doesn’t yet have a date in mind to finish the car, but it should be completed sometime in 2015.
We can’t wait to see it on the road!
