Our buddy Robin Weathersbee has been in touch with news of a new event happening this year to celebrate 70 years of classic Classic Chrysler’s. The P-15 Picnic will be held at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire on Sunday October 4th, later this year. Robin tells us that this is a family reunion for P-15 Plymouth models, manufactured from 1946-’48, and their Dodge, De Soto, and Chrysler cousins.
There’s some really great examples of these often overlooked marques in the UK these days, and Robin, along with friends Chris Reynolds and Dean Crane, who also own classic Mopars, have been thinking about putting on an event for these models for some time. All examples will be welcome, stock, modified, or rodded, and the aim is to bring together as many as possible. Admission is free, and the art deco backdrop of Sywell will make an excellent location for this first event, with its hotel, restaurant and bar facilities, all on-site.
